Yes they can!

The aluminum bodies of the Endura Astragals can be painted in accordance with Endura’s Ultimate Astragal Repainting Instructions.

The veneer bodies of the Endura Astragals can be stained in accordance with Endura’s Ultimate Wood Veneer Astragal Finishing and Maintenance Instructions.

You will need a gap of 27/32″ between the door panels.

The body of the Endura Ultimate Astragal Systems extends 11/16″ off of the edge of the inactive door panel. The ideal margin between the face of the astragal system and the edge of the active door panel is 5/32″. Therefore, you need a space of 27/32″ between the active and inactive door panels.

The astragal body is designed to fit around a door panel that is 1-3/4″ or 1-11/16″ thick.

The Metal Push Flush Bolt and Metal Flip Flush Bolt extend into the header and sill to lock the passive door panel.

Metal Push Flush Bolts extend 1″ into the header or sill to lock the passive door panel.

Metal Flip Flush Bolts extend 0.8″ into the header or sill to lock the passive door panel.

The bodies of both flush bolts measure 7″ in length, 3/4″ in width and 1/2″ in depth.

There are four multi-point locking systems within the Trilennium family – 3000, 3020, 3070 and 3500.

1. Check how many locking points are present – two, three or five?

• If two (one into the header and one into the sill), you most likely have a Trilennium 3020 Locking System.
• If three (horizontal deadbolts that lock into the inactive door panel or jamb), you most likely have a Trilennium 3000 Locking System or Trilennium 3070 Locking System.
• If five (three horizontal deadbolts, one into the header and one into the sill), you most likely have a Trilennium 3500 Locking System.

2. I have three bolts – do I have Trilennium 3000 Locking System or a Trilennium 3070 Locking System?

• Measure the width of the faceplate – is it 1″ wide or 7/8″ wide? If it is 1″ wide – it is a Trilennium 3000 Locking System.If it is 7/8″ wide – it is a Trilennium 3070 Locking System.

The number of screws depends on the length of the lock.

• The 6/8 length 3020 Locks use (4) 1-1/2″ Screws
• The 8/0 length 3020 Locks use (5) 1-1/2″ Screws
• The 9/0 length 3020 Locks use (6) 1-1/2″ Screws
• The 10/0 length 3020 Locks use (7) 1-1/2″ Screws

Sills are available in a few categories, including Traditional, Adjustable, Articulating and Bumper.

• Traditional Sills: The key feature of these sills is the wood substrate, located under the aluminum sill deck.
• Adjustable Sills: The key feature of these sills is ability to adjust a sill cap upwards or downwards to better seal against the door panel.
• Articulating Sills: The key feature of these sills is the spring-loaded sill cap that automatically adjusts upward or downward to better seal against the door panel.
• Bumper Sills: The key feature of these sills is the weatherstrip “bumper” inserted into the cap that an outswing door will swing against.

To cut the sill systems down, you should use a Miter or Chop Saw. It is recommended to use a Chisel Tooth Carbide Saw Blade with at least 80 teeth. As you cut through the sill, cut slowly to avoid damaging the sill.

The screws installed in the Endura Oak Adjustable Cap are 10″ center-to-center excluding the screws on the ends. The distance between the screws on the end and the edge of the cap is dependent on the overall sill cap length.
