Continuous sills provide an uninterrupted seal across the door unit, preventing leaks.  Endura's Ultimate Astragals are able to build on this permanent seal by utilizing a built-in retractable boot that will not fall off after continued use.

The boot works by lifting up with the flush bolt and off of the threshold when a door is opened, then is secured back in place when the door is closed to provide a lasting seal.
