Recent testing has demonstrated that many door units, particularly "bull nose" doors, fail as a result of improper contact between the door and weatherstrip. This can be particularly significant at the top corner of the door.

Endura's testing showed that when air pressure increases on the exterior side of the door, water can flow over the top of the door and down the interior column of the weatherstrip, gaining entry to the interior of the door unit. To stop the air and water infiltration at this critical junction, Endura has added the Simple Corner to its line of high  weatherseal components.

The Simple Corner works in conjunction with the door's existing compression weatherstrip to block water and air infiltration at the upper corners of the door unit. The Simple Corner is constructed of a long life foam that is easily installed behind the weatherstrip of the header and side frame to increase the contact between the door and the weatherstrip, keeping the area sealed when subjected to high air pressure or in the case of the door is warped or bowed.
