Locking Option Added to the Ultimate Astragal Lite

Greensboro, NC - December 11th, 2008 - The Ultimate Astragal Lite, from Endura, can now be fit with the same secure flush bolt locking mechanism that is standard in the Ultimate Astragal. This new option adds a top and bottom flush bolt locking capability to the unit. This defeats prying and wrenching of French door systems from the outside, which would allow the flush bolts to easily be shifted from their mortising. This locking mechanism is now a custom option in the Ultimate Astragal Lite, giving the system more value and security than before.

The Ultimate Astragal offers a one-piece, 24" flush bolt, while the more economical Ultimate Astragal Lite offers a one-piece, 9" flush bolt. Endura's Ultimate Astragal and the more-economical Ultimate Astragal Lite, utilize a patented, leak-proof, three-point sealing system to eliminate air and water infiltration in exterior French door units.
