FrameSaver FAQs 

  • Is FrameSaver® environmentally friendly? 

    • Yes. It is made from recycled wood shavings and plastic that is joined to wood grown in plantations.

  • What type of warranty does the FrameSaver® have? 

  • Does the frame require special maintenance? 

    • No.

  • Have you ever had a FrameSaver® frame, T-mull, or brick mould rot? 

    • Never.

  • How do I get FrameSaver® on my door frame? 

    • Your builder, architect, or remodeler needs to specify FrameSaver® from the distributor where they buy the door.

  • How does the End Kit work and can I install it myself? 

    • The End Kit is installed in place of the rotten end of the old frame and comes with installation instructions.

  • What is the composite on the FrameSaver® made with? 

    • Extruded recycled wood shavings and virgin plastics.

  • Does the frame require special installation? 

    • No. It machines and installs just like regular wooden frames.

  • How much FrameSaver should be on the bottom of the frame? 

    • Our research and warranty require only three inches of composite.

  • Where do I find FrameSaver®? 

    • The pre-hanger of your door is able to inventory this product for you.

  • How much composite is on the end of the frame? 

    • It begins with five inches and after its dado cut must have three inches remaining for installation and warranty.

  • What quantities is it available in? 

    • You can order as few as a 200 pair and qualify for volume discounts beginning at 400 pair.

  • How is the material shipped? 

    • Our shipping options vary from LTL or pool trucking to freight free truckload volumes.

  • What widths and lengths do the FrameSaver® frames come in? 

    • All FrameSaver® frames are available in 6-8 and 8-0 lengths and our stock inventory is 4 9/16 - 5 1/4 - 6 9/16.

  • What options are available for the frames? 

    • Mortising, weather-stripping, fire rating, wind testing, drilling and other options are listed on the data sheet in the frame section.

  • What products are available with the FrameSaver® technology? 

    • Fingerjoint - Stain Grade - Garage frames, T-Mulls, Brick mould, and other products to come.
